Greve in Chianti
Also known as "the gateway to Chianti”, the small town of Greve is a good starting point to explore a region known worldwide for its landscapes. The beautiful and bustling Market Square has been the centre of the city since medieval times. Greve is situated at the foot of the fortified village of Montefioralle. The surroundings are a paradise for hikers, both for the beauty of nature and the presence of numerous churches and castles. The nearby Villa Vignamaggio, where "Much Ado About Nothing" by Kenneth Branagh was shot, is apparently the birthplace of the Mona Lisa, immortalized by the famous Leonardo Da Vinci "Mona Lisa".

Panzano
This tranquil village nestled in the heart of the Chianti vineyards, olive groves and cypress trees is a must for lovers of the most famous of Italian wines, Chianti Classico. It also houses an authentic "sacred place" for all lovers of steak: the old Cecchini butchery, managed by Dario Cecchini, also known as the "butcher poet": an authentic Tuscan setting and an ideal place to taste what the Dario calls " the perfect steak! “.In addition to good food and the beauty of the countryside, the medieval Panzano offers many picturesque spots in the ancient alleys and monuments that are worth to mention: the Romanesque church of San Leonino, the remains of the castle and the oratory of Sant'Eufrosino.

Castellina
Castellina lays right at the heart of Chianti and is one of the most important areas for the production of wine (the world wide famous Chianti Classico) and oil. In addition to the many opportunities for tasting and purchasing of such valuable products, Castellina has to offer visitors the beautiful church of San Salvatore (XII century) and the wonderful landscape of the Chianti hills that can be seen from the medieval fortress, situated in the main square. To conclude the visit, you just have to walk through the village, between ancient walls and narrow streets paved with stone and you’ll be rewarded with magnificent views over the surrounding hills, dotted with vineyards, olive groves and cypress trees.

Siena
A city that needs no introduction, with a unique atmosphere. The severe palaces and steep alleys of the old town have remained the same since the middle ages when Siena was an independent republic. A large part of the ancient pride is still present in the attitude of its citizens, which is expressed fully on July 2 and August 16 of each year during the famous Palio, perhaps the oldest and most authentic popular celebration in Italy. At the heart of the city is the magnificent shell-shaped Piazza del Campo, dominated by the high Torre del Mangia and considered one of the most beautiful squares in Europe for architectural harmony and balance. However, Siena also offers beautiful churches and museums in addition to its ability to surprise even the most hurried visitor with unforgettable views. The old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Monteriggioni
Monteriggioni is a beautiful, small town surrounded by 14 fortified towers. During the Middle Ages it offered a shelter to the people of Siena during the wars against Florence. Perfectly preserved and closed to traffic, in July the village of Monteriggioni hosts one of the most beautiful medieval festivals in Italy. The town was founded around a farm located along the Francigena route, the road used by pilgrims linking Canterbury to Rome.

Radda
Radda is a charming medieval village perched on a hill. It was the chief town of the Chianti League in 1415. A walk on the walls of this citadel offers great views of the Tuscan countryside, dotted with vineyards and olive trees. Famous for its wineries and the surrounding villas, used as a "retreat" by the most important Florentine families during the Renaissance. The fifteenth century Palazzo del Podesta in the small town centre is well worth visiting.
